When will the surcharges on my bill discontinue?: No matter where you go in the nation, cities are implementing surcharges to pay for infrastructure projects. 1. When are the city council meetings?: Generally, the regular city council meetings are the 1st and 3rd Monday's of every month and start at 7:00 p.m. in the council room at City Hall.

2. How do I run for city council?: Nominating petitions may be circulated every year in February for elections in April. The term for each alderman and the mayor is 2 years.
